I was born and raised in Virginia, but I love to travel and explore new places. I am a middle child with two brothers. I received my bachelors’ degree from William and Mary in Virginia, and I graduated from Princeton Seminary in May 2014. In my free time, I love writing, working on art projects, and spending time with friends, as well as going on the occasional hiking trip. I also love old movies, and my favorite meal is biscuits and sausage gravy. I have felt called to the ministry since I was a small child, and God has been faithful, leading me toward that goal.

I have been on many ministry adventures over the last few years. Through Princeton Seminary, I traveled to Ghana for three months and served Christ Presbyterian church in a small community there. I then spent two summers working at Glacier Camp in Montana as senior counselor and curriculum director. I also worked as a student intern for Watchung Avenue Presbyterian in North Plainfield, NJ and completed a year of CPE at Capital Health in Hopewell, NJ. I started my new adventure at CAPC and Center Presbyterian in Seaton on Dec 1, 2014.

I am married to Matt Van Winkle, and am stepmom to his terrific son Carson. We have two dogs, Greta and Niko, and two cats named Freddy and Marm.
