LORINE ETHERIDGE

Church Office

I grew up on our family farm north of Joy. Our family started attending CAPC when I was a young child. My mother is still a member. I can even remember being a little kid in the church nursery, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Youth Group, singing in the Angel Choir and later the adult choir when I was in high school. My husband, Mike and I were married at CAPC in 1977.  CAPC holds many special memories for me!

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising from Iowa State University. I worked for about ten years for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center in recruitment and had a nine-county territory. I loved the job and got to meet a lot of different people in the communities and industries that I called upon. I wanted to work closer to home and I returned to college for a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and taught for ten years. I have been in the church office since early 2013 and enjoy the variety of my work.

Our son, Alex and his wife, Jessica live in Champaign and do campus ministry through Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) at the University of Illinois. We have two grandsons named Rhodes and Forrester!

I love spending time with my family and friends. Being a farm girl at heart, I enjoy yard work and help out with mowing my mother’s yard on the farm. I also like doing projects around the house, making greeting cards, reading, and cooking. Day trips to Bishop Hill keep me in touch with my Swedish roots.
